Bendigo’s La Trobe Art Institute unveils new facade on View Street building | Bendigo Advertiser

Science and art have combined to create a new photographic facade on the front of the La Trobe Art Institute in View Street. Photographer Danica Chappell worked with chemical biologist Donna Whelan to create the work using a powerful fluorescence microscopes located at La Trobe in Bendigo. “Anyone that does microscopy as part of their science is aware that they get to look at visually stimulating things all the time,” Dr Whelan said. “(Art) can be a fantastic way to push science onto community.
